Parenting is hard, I get it. As a NICU mom myself, I understand what it is like to start your family’s journey off feeling overwhelmed, scared, and in need of support. I am honored to make space for you to process the good, the bad, and the ugly of parenting. One of my strengths is to make you feel instantly comfortable and less afraid of the counseling process. My approach to counseling is based on the fact that we are both humans, and we can talk parent-to-parent about what you are going through.

I also enjoy working with people while they are pregnant, especially if they are high-risk or are going to attempt a VBAC birth. I have a passion for birth planning and postpartum preparation. I believe knowledge is power, and birthing people deserve to feel empowered and supported in the transition to parenthood. I also have a passion for helping partners of birthing people, too, as they are often left out of the equation when talking about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Another client type that I have found that I am skilled with is working with parents who want to give their children better than what they had. This means going back to your own childhood, processing experiences with your own parents, and deciding how you want to show up as a parent.
